Bleizo Transport Hub

The Bleizo transport hub forms the starting point for the proposed developments in the Bleizo master plan. It is an important link between the various component areas of the plan.

Designed to avoid an unwelcoming infrastructural atmosphere, the “Bleizo Lane” is instead a vibrant green environment that is well attuned to future developments in the area, and can even be the guiding influence for them. Spacious crossing points and footbridges form accessible connections with the surrounding area.
The Bleizo transport hub is composed of a number of elements with a close mutual interrelationship. The hub has to facilitate efficient and attractive transfers between RandstadRail, Park and Ride facilities, bicycle parks and bus services, while interaction with the surrounding area is also a key consideration.

The outline plan allows the various elements within the transport hub to be combined as flexibly as possible. In this way the plan is highly adaptable to future developments, as well as the pace of development and the economic climate.
The design can be likened to a child’s box of building blocks, which can be linked together independently, so the design is well suited to the current growing demand for capacity.
