The studio
At MVSA we work with a highly motivated and experienced team of professional designers and technicians. The office of MVSA has a great interest in the actual building and realisation of the plans. In our view architecture becomes architecture when it is built. This philosophy demands an integral approach of design. Not only with all the partners, advisors, structural engineers within the building process, but especially within our own architectural firm.
Continuity in the process flow is essential for this way of working. For all our projects and studies we work fixed project teams, lead by the senior architects. The core of these teams is formed by project architects, architect-designers, assistant designers and draftsmen – women. And this base is supplemented with for example model makers and 3D specialists. Within teams there is no distinction between the designing groups and the engineering groups. The senior architects in conjunction with the project architects supervise the project from the very start all the way to delivery. This method ensures that there is no loss of knowledge and information, therefore guarantying the highest quality. The designers are also responsible for the technical elaboration and detailing. Another important advantage is the clear communication towards the client and the users. It’s always clear who is the contact person for the project.
And last but not least it is our aim to have fun in the process to design innovative, functional and sustainable buildings in which people enjoy to work, to live and to be.
